Drop off your Camper at Noon on Tuesday the 16th
Pick your camper up at 10am on Sunday the 21st
Dear Camp Courage Participants,
This letter is to inform you of some camp logistics.
Camp will begin on June 16 at 12:00. We will provide a lunch for the campers and parents are also welcome to attend. You can see our facilities, meet the staff, and get a feel for where your kids will be.
Pick up will be June 21 at 10:00. We will have breakfast, pack up, and the kids should be ready at 10:00. Please be timely for pick up, it is a fun, but exhausting week and the staff will all be ready to go home.
There is a packing list on our website as well as driving directions. There is no cell service in the canyon so print the directions to follow, we have had lots of parents get lost on the way up. It takes about 80 minutes from central Denver to drive to camp.
Pheasants Forever, who have been doing an archery program for us in the past will be putting on a trap shooting clinic with shotguns and also providing instruction with 22 cal rifles I know there are some of you who might feel strongly about not letting your child participate in this activity. We will have an alternate activity for kids who opt out. Pheasants Forever have been doing this clinic with children as young as 6 and the kids will be completely supervised. They have been joining us at Camp Courage for over 4 years. Please let me know if you do not want your child to participate.
