A Free Camp For Kids and Their Siblings Dealing With The Challenges of Cancer - Camp this year is June 16-21 2020!

At Camp Courage we are watching the COVID-19 situation carefully and will follow any guidelines from health officials. We know that everyone is faced with making difficult decisions as we are in deciding whether to hold camp. The health and safety of our campers and staff is our top priority and we will make our decision based on that. At this point we are making plans to hold our 2020 session from June 16-21 and are optimistic that we will have another wonderful session. We will watch the situation as it develops and new information becomes available. Unfortunately, this is a rapidly evolving crisis and any predictions are impossible. We will keep you informed with any decisions. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Are you ready for the best camp ever??

Camp Courage is not a “cancer camp” where cancer is the focus; it’s a place where kids can be kids. Yes, they share this unfortunate disease, but that’s not what defines them, and it’s not what defines Camp Courage. We put cancer on the back burner, immersing kids in a week of outdoor adventures and fun. Activities include fishing in an on-site pond, a zip-line, the Big Swing, high ropes course, archery, horseback riding, boating, camp crafts, and hiking.
This is an incredible camp run by John Hite and volunteers who have hearts of gold. Many of the kids who attend don't get to be part of regular activities like "outdoor lab" in the public schools, due to their cancer. This week allows them to not miss out on being a KID for a few days! The bonds are priceless and the fact that a sibling is allowed to come along means that cancer parents get a much needed break!
